I love learning and exploring the natural world. This passion is reflected in both my professional and my personal life. Nature and the intriguing discoveries of science give me joy and ground me in the present. This passion has sustained me through many of life’s difficult times.

I have a unique collection of skills gathered during a lifetime of diverse jobs. My career has spanned horticulture, landscape design and even emergency services, to more recently studying evolutionary biology and social sciences. I’m also a self-taught artist working mostly in oil pastel. The focus of my art is recognition of non-human species as being aware and intelligent, while percieving the world differently to us.

In 2018 I gained a Bachelor of Science with first class honours in ecology and environmental science. Now, in 2024 I have just completed my PhD on human-nature connection. Recently, I have worked on several research projects at the intersection of environmental management and human wellbeing.

I am happiest when I am sharing the fasinating world of nature and science through writing, teaching, artwork and fun.

I created ‘Nature To You’ as a way to apply all my skills and experience to benefit others - while continuing to satisfy my own insatiable curiosity and playfulness.
