About me…
Leading on from my degree in evolutionary biology, I gained first class honours in 2018, for research on ecological effects of ocean acidification. For my PhD awarded mid 2024, I explored human-nature connections, growing my social science toolkit. During my PhD, I also worked on several other research projects at the intersection of human wellbeing and environmental management. These included Blue Carbon accounting, climate adaptation in gardening, and supporting people with climate-related anxiety.
A love of learning and exploring the natural world is expressed in both my work and personal life. I have a unique collection of skills gathered during a lifetime, including my role as a mother and earlier career adventures in horticulture, landscape design, even emergency services. All along the way, nature and the intriguing discoveries of science have given me joy and grounded me in the present.

I am happiest when I am sharing the fascinating world of nature and science through writing, teaching, artwork and fun. I created ‘Nature To You’ in 2024, as a way to use my diverse skills and experience to benefit others, while fulfilling my own curiosity and playfulness.
You are SO welcome to join me!
